I'm working on it

Hi I'm Sarah. I'm not trying to lose "pounds" because they are an ineffective measure of progress. I want to tone up and get healthy. I hate vegetables and I'm trying to figure out how to put them in my diet since I know I need them. I try to work out 4-5 days a week with Nike Training Club, yoga, and hula hooping. So here's my health blog. Enjoy!

First day back at the gym!

Since I’ve been medicated for my sinus infection. 

  • 30 min treadmill intervals of 3.0 pace with no incline and 3.8 pace with 8.0 incline
  • 3 x 8 leg press (150, 150, 170 lbs)
  • 3 x 8 hamstrings (60, 65, 65 lbs)
  • 3 x 8 quads (70, 65, 65 lbs)
  • 2 x 10 back extensions (25 lbs)
  • 2 x 10 side abs (2 sets per side) (25 lbs)
  • 3 x 10 ab machine (70, 60, 60 lbs)
  • 3 x 10 captains chair straight leg lifts
  • 50 x russian twists (10 lbs)
  • 2 x 10 dumbbell bicep curls (10 lbs)
  • 2 x 10 dumbbell shoulder press (12.5 lbs)

I didn’t feel awesome during it, but it wasn’t unbearable. I didn’t want to overdo the cardio since that makes breathing hard. Back again tomorrow for another 30 min cardio day and more upper body.
